The written word as dictated by ‘others’

“Dutch findings suggest one in 25 people regularly hears voices. Contrary to traditional belief, hearing voices is not necessarily a symptom of mental illness, UK researchers at Manchester University say. Indeed, many who hear voices do not seek help and say the voices have a positive impact on their lives, comforting or inspiring them.” from BBC News 18 September 2006

Maybe it's only one in 23.

Hearing Voices has been somewhat arbitrarily divided into an ‘articles’ section and a ‘creative’ section. The problem is, of course, that most of the so-called articles tend to drift into creative areas which would make them most unsuitable as journalistic pieces.

Even those articles that attempt a measure of respectability with footnotes are still riddled with unsubstantiated claims and surreal flights of fantasy.

There will be a continual cycling of this material, with older articles being placed into the archives file, so it's worth coming back every now and then and you'll get to read some new stuff.
